The L.D. Harver Leadership Scholarship Fund

Full-time Students
1. Be enrolled in a degree or certificate at Prince George’s Community College
2. Be an active member of the Women of Wisdom program.
3. Be a resident of Prince George’s County or Howard County
4. Complete the FAFSA
5. Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
6. Be a second year, full-time student with developmental coursework. Completed transcripts must demonstrate progress towards completing a degree or certificate program.
7. Major preference given to Psychology, Theatre, African American studies, International Studies, Human Services, Sociology or Technology area.
8. Submit a Career Portfolio including a cover letter and résumé indicating community service and leadership activities in which they are involved
9. Complete a personal budget including how you will use the scholarship
10. Complete an interview
11. Agree to participate in the Transfer Day Fair and two workshops (i.e. Finance 411 or Career Services Workshops).
12. Agree to be named and publicized as a “L.D. Harver Leadership Scholar.”
13. Complete a concise personal statement of 500 to 750 words describing why you deserve the L.D. Harver Leadership Scholarship. Discuss your educational plans and career, view of leadership, how you have and will serve as a leader in the local or global community and how you will use this funding to achieve your goal and develop as a leader.
14. Provide three professional references
