Nutrition and Food Science Scholarship

Full-time and Part-time Students
1. Minimum 3.0 GPA
2. Successful completion (B and above) of at least
12 credits at Prince George’s Community College
3. Successful completion of or current enrollment
in either NTR 1010 or NTR 1100 (80% average
or above)
4. An unofficial copy of college transcripts
5. A letter of recommendation from a nutrition or
food science instructor which should include the
students final grade in NTR 1010 or NTR 1100
(if the course is in progress, the student’s current
average should be included)
6. An essay (not to exceed 500 words) articulating the
student’s motivation as well as his/her educational
and professional goals
7. Students must be majoring in nutrition, food
science, or dietetics
The Scholarship Selection Committee will consist of
the nutrition and food science faculty. Scholarships are
typically awarded at the Student Honors Convocation
held during the spring semester.
