5. Demonstration of financial need
6. Demonstration of innovative thinking, commitment to career goal, and analytical abilities as related to problems and their solution (as evidence in essay or letter of recommendation)
7. Prince George’s County resident

Special Essay Required: Requires a minimum 250-word essay or letter of recommendation from a professor or employer that conveys the applicant’s strength as an innovative thinker and having an analytical approach to problem solving.
