Full-time or Part-time Students
Students must have associate degree nursing
program prerequisites completed. EGL 1010,
BIO 1010, BIO 2050, MAT 1120 or higher (MAT 1140
or 1350 recommended), BIO 2060, PSY 1010,
NUR 1010 (prerequisites are determined by PGCC
and are subject to change)
1. U.S. citizenship
2. Candidates must petition for admission to and be accepted into the Prince George’s Community College associate degree Nursing Program
3. Candidates must be a Prince George’s
County resident
4. Candidates must have a minimum
cumulative 3.0 GPA
5. Candidates must submit two letters of recommendation from individuals who
are familiar with the candidate’s academic performance and/or leadership ability
6. Candidates must submit community service and leadership activities in which they are involved
7. Candidate must submit a concise statement
of 200–500 words explaining why he/she
would like to become a nurse and/or their nursing philosophy
Priority consideration will be given to candidates who have a Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
